Echo recently hosted an event which brought together leaders in the Central Florida area. This innovative new concept helped to foster job growth in the region. This event called the Florida TechMatch was held directly after the annual Orange County Economic Summit in January.
Florida TechMatch was the brainchild of Echo Interaction’s very own CEO and President of the Orlando Tech Association, Carlos Carbonell, who recognized the need to pair the extraordinary capabilities of Orlando’s tech community with the needs of corporate America. “Orlando is a hotbed of new ideas in the tech world and this event was a great way to match the skills of tech companies in the area with larger companies that need special insights from cutting edge leaders” said Carbonell.
The event brought together the most up-and-coming digital media and tech companies in the Central Florida area with well established enterprise companies, such as Orlando Health, NASA and NBCUniversal that were looking for talented firms with progressive ideas.
The Orange County Mayor’s Office supported the program as an extension of the a
nual Economic Summit and plans to continue this event annually. Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs said “Florida Tech Match is an exciting entrepreneurial-inspired event that will immediately follow our Economic Summit. This is a great way to connect large and small companies that are ready to do business together. We’re looking to help make some lasting connections.
